Punctuation Playtime

For complete information about Punctuation Playtime, click here.

Punctuation is FUN! And punctuation is important in helping children learn to read.

At National Punctuation Day® we believe that reaching children at the beginning of their scholastic careers is critical in helping them develop the reading and written communication skills that will be the key not only to their academic success, but to their professional success as adults.

Punctuation Playtime in the classroom takes a subject that children might roll their eyes at and makes it an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

We involve the children in creating a vital, participatory, theater-like experience. Our program encourages teamwork and involvement while teaching proper punctuation.

We do this with fun activities such as:
• a punctuation relay tag
• a Wynken, Blynken, and Nod punctuation contest
• a punctuation rap performed by facilitators AND students
— and several others, all designed to reinforce these important punctuation lessons.

Our facilitators are passionate about what they do, and even more passionate about the children that they do it for.

We provide fun, educational take-home activities that the children can do with their family and friends. For example, our activity book features punctuation mark examples and definitions, punctuation mazes, puzzles and contests, matching games, and colorful punctuation quizzes.

Learning is easiest when you’re laughing and having FUN! — and that's what we do a lot of. The children will remember this program — and the lessons they learned — for a lifetime!

Sing the Punctuation Rap: Yes — a rap song for children that actually teaches them something useful!
